Beschreibung

Drosera prolifera ist eine fleischfressende Pflanze aus der Familie der Sonnentaugewächse, die endemisch für das Daintree-Gebiet in Nord-Queensland, Australien ist. Diese Pflanze gehört zu den vier ‚Schwestern‘ der fleischfressenden Pflanzen, die in den Regenwäldern der feuchten Tropen vorkommen. Sie wächst an Bachufern und bildet manchmal große Matten.

Merkmale

Fangblätter: klebrige Blätter, die Insekten fangen.
Blattform: Die Blätter sind rosettenartig angeordnet und klebrig.
Wachstumsform: Bildet große Matten entlang der Bachufer.

Pflege

Lichtbedarf: Bevorzugt volles Sonnenlicht oder dessen Äquivalent, 16 Stunden täglich.
Substrat: Empfohlen wird eine spezielle Erde für fleischfressende Pflanzen.
Fütterung: Bevorzugt Insekten wie Blattläuse, getrocknete Regenwürmer und Fischfutter.
Feuchtigkeit: Erfordert eine konstante Feuchtigkeit von 65% bis 75%. Bewässerung sollte durch regelmäßiges Sprühen erfolgen.
Temperatur: Gedeiht bei Temperaturen zwischen 22 und 32°C.
Ruheperiode: Kein technischer Ruhezeitraum, kann aber bei ungünstigen Bedingungen das Wachstum verlangsamen.
