Beschreibung

Der Espei Keilfleckbärbling (Trigonostigma espei) ist ein farbenprächtiger Schwarmfisch, der durch seine leuchtenden roten und blauen Akzente auffällt. Namensgebend ist der keilförmige, blau-schwarze Fleck auf dem hinteren Körperteil, der sich zur Schwanzwurzel zuspitzt. Die intensiv, kupfer-rot, leuchtende Färbung zieht sich über die Rückenpartie und teils über den gesamten Körper. Mit einer maximalen Größe von etwa 3 cm sind sie ideal für kleinere Aquarien geeignet und zeichnen sich durch ihr harmonisches Schwimmverhalten aus.

Herkunft und Lebensraum

Espei Keilfleckbärblinge stammen aus den klaren Gewässern Borneos und bewohnen typischerweise langsam fließende Bäche und Flüsse. Sie bevorzugen weiches, saures Wasser und sind in der Aquaristik aufgrund ihrer lebhaften Farben und ihres friedlichen Verhaltens sehr beliebt.

Vermehrung

Die Zucht von Espei Keilfleckbärblingen ist unter bestimmten Bedingungen möglich. Sie laichen gerne in dicht bepflanzten Aquarien mit weichem Wasser. Ein separates Zuchtbecken und optimale Wasserparameter sind für die erfolgreiche Aufzucht der Jungfische erforderlich.

Fütterung

Espei Keilfleckbärblinge sind Allesfresser und nehmen im Aquarium gerne feines Flockenfutter sowie Lebend- und Frostfutter wie Artemia und Daphnien an. Eine ausgewogene Ernährung unterstützt ihre Gesundheit und Farbenpracht. Sie bevorzugen Futter, das im mittleren Wasserbereich schwebt oder langsam sinkt.

Haltung

Espei Keilfleckbärblinge fühlen sich in Aquarien ab einer Größe von etwa 60 Litern wohl, vorzugsweise mit dichter Bepflanzung und freiem Schwimmraum. Eine Gruppe von mindestens 10 Tieren fördert ihr natürliches Verhalten und Wohlbefinden. Sie bevorzugen weiches bis mittelhartes Wasser mit einem pH-Wert zwischen 5,5 und 7 und einer Temperatur von 23 bis 28°C.

Empfohlene Pflegeprodukte

Für kleine Fische empfehlen wir ein passendes Futter in der richtigen Größe. Besonders geeignet sind langsam sinkende Granulate wie das Arka Bio Gran Nano oder die Granulate von Dr. Bassleer.
Da die Fische eine empfindliche Schleimhaut haben empfehlen wir den Einsatz von Huminstoffen, wie das Liquid Humin+ oder auch Naturprodukten wie Seemandelbaumblätter oder Erlenzapfen.
Ebenfalls zur Pflege der Schleimhäute, sowie zur Unterstützung der Darmflora empfehlen wir den Einsatz von MikrobeLift TheraP
